Web Age provide web hosting and server co-location. Our server farm is located in Redbus Interhouse in London's Docklands on multi-peered bandwidth with data transfer rates of 100 Mb per second. BGP routing means that we have many routes to our servers, rather than just one as you would have with a leased line. This provides an unparalleled quality of service in terms of systems redundancy at all levels, security and scaleability. Our servers are monitored 24/7 ensuring that all services are running, at all times.

We also supply fully configured and operational servers, either customer built to your requirements or off the shelf. Operating systems we support include NetBSD, Linux (Suse, Fedora, etc), OpenBSD, Windows 2000 Server and Advanced Server and Windows NT4.

Web Age have many, many non-transit peering arrangements so that from your Internet presence it is a single hop to many of the worlds major networks including Google, Microsoft and all the UK's main ISPs.

You can also own your own server. These are built to your exact specification. Below is one example.

Servers - are built in Acme Technology 2 U rackmount case with 2 x 40 gig disks (mirrored for backup), 512Mb RAM, Intel chip, etc. (or whatever other hardware you wish in your server)

Simple to use Web based interfaces for every major server administrators task.

1. Netrunner for email, web based interface to add new domain names, add new users on domain names, display or change passwords, produce formatted html pages of all users on a domain name, the number of messages each has in their mailbox etc. This page is easily emailed to the customer as part of the service. Also delete domains and users facility. The Netrunner system uses its own user authentication, so that each email user on the system is not a user at the operating system level. This hugely improves the security of the server.

2. Web based interface for adding new virtual servers, setting ftp usernames and passwords, checking the disk usage of each client. Automatic email notification of customer attempting to use more than their pre-specified amount of web space. Also changing ftp usernames and passwords etc. Can also set a different ftp username and password for a sub-directory of a virtual using the web based interface.

3. Web based interface to set up the Analogue and Report Magic access log analysis and statistics reporting service for your customers virtual servers.

4. Web based interface to set up new clients on your shared SSL (secure sockets layer) server for added value e-commerce hosting. Your server will also run PHP4, MySQL, CGI perl, SSL (if desired), PGP. Upgrades to Bind, MySQL, PHP etc will be carried out as part of the service. You also are given the PHPMyAdmin tool for database administration.

DNS services - all your domain names are handled by our DNS servers so there is no need to worry about DNS services.

Remote APC Power management feature for remote reboot on system failure if ever necessary.

Check monitor service to automatically notify you of server problems running from remote location.
