Configuring Email

Please note that we are required to make some important changes to our mail server. These changes are necessary to ensure that we are not used as an open mail relay which could be used for spam. Most customers will be unaffected by this, however, for those of you who have problems you may require to follow the steps below. Below are the instructions for Outlook Express. 1. Open Outlook Express. Now choose Tools > Accounts.

    

2. Select the "Mail" tab

3. Select your email account and click on properties

4. On the "General" Tab check that your email address is correct

    

5. On the "Servers" Tab check that the "Account Name" matches your email address(NB in the account name the @ is replaced by !)


    

6. Tick the box next to "My server requires authentication"

7. Click on the settings button and make sure that "use same settings as my incoming mail server" is selected
